Kaduna State witnessed a milestone in youth football development as FIFA License Agent Umar Abdullahi Yaro is hosting a six-day football clinic aimed at developing young talents.
The event, organized by Little Stars Football Academy, was spearheaded by the FIFA License Agent, who emphasized the importance of nurturing foundational skills in aspiring players.
Speaking newsmen about the objectives of the clinic, Yaro stated, “We aim to enhance the technical basics of our players. Talent is important, but it needs to be complemented by core skills. This approach is essential for the growth and success of young footballers at Little Stars Football Academy.”
The football clinic seeks to empower participants with the tools to reach their full potential. Partnerships with organizations such as the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) are being leveraged to amplify the program's vision. These collaborations are expected to create pathways for young players to thrive, both locally and internationally.
In a major development for the academy, Umar Abdullahi Yaro announced that three Turkish football clubs have extended invitations for talks, signaling potential opportunities for Nigerian players to showcase their abilities on a global stage.
Looking ahead, Yaro revealed plans to travel to Turkey following the African FIFA License Agent summit in Morocco. This move highlights his commitment to building international relationships and opening doors for local players to transition into professional football abroad.
He also assured that events like the football clinic will continue to be held during school holidays, providing consistent opportunities for young talents. Identified players will receive additional training sessions twice a week at the academy to further develop their skills.
