Croc City Stuns Green Beret in NLO Thriller...Underdogs edge past Challenge Cup champions 1-0

In a stunning upset, Croc City emerged as giant killers in Match Three, defeating Kaduna State Challenge Cup champions, Green Beret, 1-0 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna. This victory propelled Croc City into the top three points race of the 2025 NLO league season, alongside Future Africa FA and Standard FC.


The match saw Green Beret, miss an early opportunity when they lost a penalty. Despite this setback, they continued to push for a goal, but Croc City's defense held strong. The underdogs capitalized on their chances, scoring the decisive goal that sealed their win.


With this victory, Croc City has sent a strong message in the league, proving they are a force to be reckoned with. As the season unfolds, it will be interesting to see how they maintain their form and whether they can continue to challenge the more established teams. 

Speaking to newsmen at the ABS Kaduna, Alhaji Umar Babawo Wushishi, the President of Croc City Football Academy, described the victory against Green Beret as a good start, stating, "We trained for this, and we are going to play with determination to secure promotion to the NNL league."

He continued, "Our team philosophy is to approach every match with its own merit and respect every opponent in the league battle."

Babawo Wushishi also noted, "Within the team, we are like a family, and we support each other to reach our full potential."
