No fewer than 165 golfers from various clubs across the country participates in the just concluded Epitome annual golf tournament to compete for honours as the 2025 11th Kaduna Golf Club Golf Championship teed off on Saturday 8tth ,2025.
The annual tournament saw the participating as several dignitaries were on ground to witness the tee off at the green course of Kaduna Golf Club.
The one -day tournament is expected to end with presentation of prizes to various winners, as the overall winner from Wuyep Lake Side Air force Base Kaduna Nura Umar return 66 net over 18 holes, in the men's category 0-14.
The competition which presents prices to various categories, , longest drive for both men and women, veteran categories, ladies categories and the men categories, and the men's category fro 0-29 categories.
Christian Emmanuel from Jaji golf club won the longest drive for ladies, while Bawa Umar from Kaduna golf club won the longest drive.
Other prizes include Veteran ladies and veteran men 0-29, and the supper veteran, winner veteran ladies R/up nett 90 Lydia Wya Kaduna golf club and Best nett Grace Yanet also from Kaduna golf club.
Supper veteran, who played 9 holes , R/nett Morris Spiff 36 nett while George Odoh both of kaduna golf club won the super veteran prices, while veteran fro 0-29 handicap, Best Gross 75 nett Bawa Umar ,72 Ahmed Ismail and HH Dominic Gambo Yahaya 70 nett all also from Kaduna golf club.
Ladies categories from handicap 0-36 , best Gross the Lady captain of the Kaduna golf club Justina Gideon return 81 Gross , while Running up nett ,69 nett from Zaria golf club, Lucy Monday Lady captain of Zaria club house, and the Best nett, Christina Emmanuel from Jaji golf club, Lady captain of Jaji returned. 62 nett.
Men 15-28, category Ii best Gross 83, Paul Yahaya after a count back on Adamu Ali 2nd running up nett 65, Samson Adebisi, runner up nett 64 Birma Dauda , and Best nett 63 Ahmed Yusuf.
Speaking after the presentation of prices to various winners the sponsor Chairman/CEO, Epitome Hotel & Suite Limited , HH Sir Dominic Gambo Yahaya, pledge for Unity and Peace , stress the need of coming together as family.
HH Gambo Yahaya who express concerned how golfers interact together, shares ideas and opinions during the game , " golf as a game last for 4 hours or more help four different men coming together moving from one hole to another sharing ideas and opinions.
He added that, the games create avenue for player's from across the various club in Nigeria who have traveled to be part of this year events, knowing one cultures and values in there various community.
" I encourage all private sector in Nigeria to come out and be a promoters of golf from all clubs across the country, that will also be a part of promoting peace and unity as I earlier said. It will also promote what ever business you are doing.

He call on citizens out there to have the courage to enjoy the game of golf, inresspective of religion , which should not be a barrier because there are various ways of dressing to cover the body. He added that golf can be played from the age of 6 to 99.
