Kogi State Government Facilitates Registration of 10,000 Businesses with Corporate Affairs Commission

Kogi State Government says it has facilitated the registration of about Ten Thousand (10,000) businesses and company owners in the state with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC0 to pave way for them to access government contracts and other relevant business and financial support as part of commitment to boost local businesses and improve upon socio-economic fortunes of people of the States. 

Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on media and communications Alhaji Isma’il Isah disclosed this at a media parley with journalist held at the Secretariat of the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) in Kaduna. 

According to him local business owners and private firms the state government assisted to be fully registered with the CAC were clustered in form of ten in at each cluster as a joint venture companies for easy access to government contracts and financial inclusion packages as part of policy thrust of the state government for an all-inclusive governance trajectory, embark upon since the inception of the Governor Ahmed Usman Dodo administration in the state. 

He said state government has accorded more concentration on certain areas identified as critical to achieve success in its drive to further accelerate growth development of the state by bring governance more closer to the people, youth and using women empowerment, Improved livestock and crop production development & of local businesses and education, Improved power supply and provision of critical infrastructure among others.

Alhaji Isma’il Isah stated that for the actualization of its targeted goals, the state government had recently embark on the constructions of standardize international market on the fifteen thousand hectares of land set aside for the project located at Lokoja, the state capital that will be equipped with all the necessary modern hotel facilities, clinics, slaughter house, shopping mall fire and police station. 

He further disclosed that the state government so for had also constructed one fifty health care facilities and about Two billion Naira had been expended to settle examinations fees of 74,000 indigene students of state, while the education sector was placed on the 26percentage UNESCO benchmark approved in its annual budget. 

In this Remark at the media parley Chairman of the Kaduna State Council of the NUJ Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewe expressed appreciation on the achievements of the state government in different spheres of its developmental strides, and the need to sustain the tempo for state to continue to witness highest level of development for Kogi State.
