Organizers of the 4th edition of the Kaduna State Mini Beach Soccer Tournament, which was postponed earlier due to a scheduling conflict with the national President Volleyball Competition, is set to resume this weekend.
They announced that the tournament will continue on Saturday and Sunday, February 22nd and 23rd, 2025, to ensure the event’s completion without further delays.
In a statement released, Kabir Isah, the event’s Coordinator and Chief Coach of Kada Beach Soccer Club, confirmed the new schedule. "We are pleased to inform all participants and fans that the tournament will continue this weekend. We have worked tirelessly to resolve the scheduling challenges and are grateful for the understanding and patience shown by everyone involved, particularly the sponsor and chairman Kaduna State Beach Soccer Association, President Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engr Musa Nimrod" said Isah.
The decision to use the weekend for the continuation of the tournament comes as a relief to players, coaches, and the teams’ followers who were eagerly awaiting the resumption of the competition. The tournament, which had already kicked off with great enthusiasm, will now proceed with its remaining matches, culminating in the crowning of the 2025 champions.
Isah also expressed gratitude to the teams and supporters for their cooperation during the postponement. "We appreciate the high level of sportsmanship and commitment displayed by all participating teams. We look forward to an exciting weekend of beach soccer and promise to deliver a memorable conclusion to the tournament," he added.
Fans are encouraged to come out in large numbers to support their favorite teams as the action returns to the sand this weekend. The organizers have assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and successful continuation of the event.
