Federal Fire Service Zaria Respond To Fire Outbreak At ABU Community Market

Earlier today, 12th February 2025, personnel from the Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Command, led by ASF Aliyu Maina responded to fire outbreak at Ahmadu Bello University, Community Market.


ASF Umar D. Adamu the Public Relation Officer, Zaria Area Command in s Press release said the fire had engulfed many shops at the ABU Community market at the early hours of Wednesday.


Personnel of the Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Command, led by ASF Aliyu Maina responded to fire outbreak.


The operation, which lasted for about Five hours, was swiftly suppress to reduce the damage in the premises.  


At the time of this report, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.  


The Federal Fire Service advises shop owners to adopt proper housekeeping practices to minimize potential fire hazards that could cause fires to spread uncontrollably during emergencies.


 Additionally, shop owners are encouraged to equip their shops with fire extinguishers.   


In a related development the Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Sabon Gari Local Government, Hajia Maryam Abubakar Bello, paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Fire Service, Zaria Area Commander, ACF Aminu Amadu, to strengthen synergy and foster a working relationship.  


Maryam explained that the purpose of her visit was to identify areas of collaboration with the Federal Fire Service to expand the reorientation campaign, encouraging the public to desist from the habit of scooping oil during tanker accidents, which often leads to the loss of lives and properties.  


Responding, the Area Commander, ACF Aminu Amadu, welcome the initiative and assured the NOA of his command to include their office in campaign schedules. 


He expressed his willingness to work together towards a unified purpose to bring about the desired change.
