United Federation of Martial Arts Partners Kaduna State Karate Academy for Junior Championship

Kaduna, Nigeria – The United Federation of Martial Arts (UFMA), led by its Founder and Chairman, Soke Dr. Mario Arthur, is set to host a championship event in collaboration with the Kaduna State Karate Academy. 

The event, tagged Junior Challenge, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the CSC Barnawa, Kaduna, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

This championship aims to promote martial arts development among young athletes, offering them a platform to showcase their skills, foster discipline, and build confidence. The competition will feature various karate demonstrations and challenges tailored for junior participants. 

Speaking ahead of the event, Chief Coach of Kaduna State, Sensei Kurusi Bush, explained the importance of martial arts in nurturing talent and instilling values of respect and perseverance in young people. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to empowering the next generation through martial arts,” he stated. 

The Kaduna State Karate Academy also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to inspire youth engagement in sports and enhance the local martial arts community. 

Meanwhile, during the two day event there will be an inaugural Extensive Seminar and Junior Challenge set to take place at the same venue, the Correctional (Prison) Staff College, Barnawa, Kaduna State, under the leadership of Soke Dr. Mario Arthur, Founder and Chairman of the United Federation of Martial Arts (UFMA).


The seminar was designed to promote martial arts education and talent development, through interactive sessions, and competitions for junior participants.

It aims to provide an engaging platform for young martial artists to hone their skills and learn from experienced instructors. 

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Karate Association, Sensei Luigi De Rossi expressed his excitement about the event, describing it as a significant milestone for the martial arts community in Kaduna State and the region as a whole. “The seminar and challenge represent an opportunity to inspire and equip the next generation of martial artists,” he said. 

“Participants can expect expert guidance and exposure to various martial arts techniques and disciplines”, Sensei De Rossi concluded

Martial arts enthusiasts, young athletes, and spectators are encouraged to attend and witness a celebration of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.
