Microvis Microfinance Bank has marked an important milestone in its journey, celebrating nine years of impactful service and growth in the microfinance sector.
Speaking at the event to mark the 9yrs’ anniversary of fruitful service, the bank’s leadership expressed gratitude to God, customers, partners, regulators, and stakeholders who have been instrumental in the bank’s success.
In his address, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kayode Akinade highlighted the remarkable journey of the bank, tracing its humble beginnings to its emergence as a key player in microfinance.
“Twelve years ago, this vision was delivered, and for the past nine years, we have witnessed God’s favor and grace in producing unprecedented results,” he remarked.
The celebration, however, extended beyond the bank itself, focusing on the communities it serves, the businesses it supports, and the individuals whose financial futures it helps secure. “This milestone is about the lives we have touched, the businesses we have empowered, and the communities we continue to uplift,” he added.
Over the years, Microvis has evolved significantly. From offering basic banking services, the bank has embraced innovation, expanded its product offerings, and adapted to the ever-changing needs of its customers, Dr Kayode explained.
“Today, Microvis provides a comprehensive suite of services, including employee credit, asset acquisition and leasing, development finance, savings and current accounts, MSME loans, mobile and internet banking, and more.”
The Managing Director emphasized that the bank’s success lies in its commitment to people and relationships. “At Microvis, we believe in the power of people and sustainable relationships. This belief has driven us to create a seamless, personalized, and efficient banking experience,” he said.
While reflecting on the achievements of the past nine years, the bank is also setting its sights on the future. The next decade will focus on innovation, sustainability, and enhanced customer service. “We are excited about the opportunities ahead and remain committed to integrity and excellence as we navigate the future,” the Managing Director assured.
Special appreciation was extended to the bank’s board members, staff, and the media. The board and staff were praised for their dedication and belief in the vision, while the media was acknowledged for its role in shaping the narrative of the bank’s journey. “Your support and fair reporting have been crucial in helping us connect with our audience and share our mission,” he said.
