Tragic Accident in Saminaka: Governor Uba Sani Orders Immediate Medical Attention for Victims - News Panorama





Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has directed the state Commissioner of Health to ensure that all injured individuals the tragic motor accident in Saminaka, Lere Local Government receive adequate medical attention. This directive was contained in a statement released on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Abdallah Yunus Abdallah.

The Governor expressed profound shock upon receiving the news of the accident, which claimed the lives of forty people and left forty-eight others injured. 

The incident occurred when a J5 bus, transporting people from Kwandari Village to Saminaka for the annual Maulud Celebration, collided with an articulated vehicle in Lere town. Thirty-five people were killed instantly in the collision.


Governor Sani extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and assured them that the state government would provide assistance to help alleviate their suffering. 

He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and wished the injured victims a speedy recovery.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Saminaka and the Jos University Teaching Hospital in Plateau State.
