A UK-based Sports entrepreneur, Moses Ted Andishu, was honored with a prestigious award by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON).
The award was presented in recognition of his unwavering support and dedication to the development of sports in various communities across Nigeria. Moses Andishu, known for his philanthropic efforts, has been instrumental in providing opportunities for young sports men and women to excel in their respective sports.
His contributions have not only uplifted the sports community but also brought smiles to the faces of many less privileged individuals. "Moses Andishu always loves to put a smile on the face of the less privileged," remarked Joseph Andishu who represented the awardee at the award ceremony.
A few months ago, the National body of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) also recognized Andishu's efforts by presenting him with an award for promoting youth empowerment through sports. This accolade further solidifies his reputation as a key figure in the sports development, both locally and internationally.
Representing the awardee, Joseph Andishu, Moses' brother, expressed his gratitude and said that the award would inspire Moses to continue his efforts in sports development as part of his social responsibility.
"This award will spur my brother to do more as part of his social responsibility," Joseph stated.
Presenting the award, YSFON National Technical Director, Abdulgafar, highlighted the organization's decision to honor Moses Andishu due to his selfless service to humanity through sports. Abdulgafar praised Andishu's dedication and commitment, which have significantly impacted the lives of many young players.
Among the well-wishers was a Kano-based journalist, Abdulgafar Oladimeji who described the award as well-deserved. He also hinted at potential collaborations with YSFON to further support youth career development in sports. "This award is well-deserved, and we look forward to more collaborations with YSFON to build the careers of some these young players," Olasimeji commented.
The event was held on the sideline of YSFON U17 youth football competition final between Katsina State and Kano State which was won by Team Kano.
Several other awardees including the Katsina State Governor, Engr Musa Nimrod were decorated for their various significant contributions to grassroots sports development and unwavering commitment to empowering the youth through sports. For Moses Ted Andishu, his efforts will continue to inspire and motivate many, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
