Dengi Declares for APC: Thousands Rally Ahead of Chairmanship Campaign

 

Thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters took to the streets of Dengi, Kanam Local Government Area, in a show of force ahead of the party's chairmanship campaign flag-off on Monday, September 30, 2024. 

The massive turnout, described as a spontaneous reaction to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship campaign flag-off on Wednesday, demonstrated APC's dominance in the area.

The APC walk, which drew participants from Dengi town, eclipsed the PDP event, which was largely attended by supporters from other local government areas in the Central zone. 

An APC supporter noted that the impressive turnout was solely from Dengi town, not the entire Dengi Ward or local government, debunking social media claims that recent defections to PDP would weaken APC's stronghold in Kanam LGA.

The supporter emphasized that Monday's flag-off campaign will reaffirm APC's control in Kanam, exposing PDP's "noisemakers" and revealing that defectors were merely "moles" within the party ranks.
