Dayyabu Garga Officially Joins PDP at Local Government and Zonal Levels



The Walin Garga and Galadiman Jhar, Hon.(Dr.) Dayyabu Yusuf Garga has officially been received as a full member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at both the Local Government and Zonal levels.


Dr. Garga, a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development of Plateau State, and the immediate past Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, made his formal entry into the PDP during a campaign flag-off event.

This is contained in a statement signed by Taru Salim Dugub, Special Adviser to Dayyabu Garga on Media and Publicity.

According to the statement, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Ephraim Usman, and the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Mr. Bulus Lekshak.

During the event, the Central Zone Chairman of the PDP expressed his joy and warmly welcomed Dr. Garga to the party and assured him that the PDP at all levels would respect, value, and fully support him without any discrimination.

The Zonal Chairman assured these new members that the PDP would respect their views and treat them as equals.

In his response, Dr. Garga who thanked the party from the ward to the state level for their warm reception, expressed his gratitude to his brother, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Ephraim Usman, for his unwavering support.

Dr. Garga pledged his dedication to ensuring the PDP’s victory in Kanam, emphasizing the inclusive leadership of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, which he praised for uniting the people of Plateau State regardless of religion or tribe.

He assured the Governor, through Chief Ephraim, that the PDP would dominate from top to bottom in Kanam, declaring the area a stronghold for the party.

It could be recalled that several other notable figures also returned to the PDP, including Rt. Hon. Saleh Shehu Yipmong, the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly; Hon. Zakari Yakubu Gagdi, former PKK aspirant; Mr. Aminu Ghani; Chief Shem Damisa, former Accountant General of Plateau State; and thousands of supporters.
