The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed its gratitude and admiration for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for its unwavering dedication to upholding accountability and transparency in the country.

In a statement released by NAHCON's Assistant Director of Public Affairs, Fatima Sanda Usara, the Commission commended the EFCC for its strong commitment to safeguarding public funds and ensuring ethical practices in all sectors.

NAHCON's Chairman, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, was recently invited by the EFCC for questioning regarding the conduct of the 2024 Hajj. The Commission reassured stakeholders that the invitation was a normal process aimed at protecting public interest and that investigation does not imply indictment.

NAHCON expressed its appreciation for the overwhelming support and understanding shown by well-wishers during this period, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethics in its dealings.

The Commission also praised the Federal Government for its resolve to entrench accountability in the system, ensuring that public institutions operate with transparency and efficiency.

NAHCON assured that it will continue to cooperate fully with investigative bodies and maintain its dedication to upholding lawful and ethical standards.
