Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has joined the Muslim community in Plateau State and beyond to celebrate the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir, urging fervent prayers for a peaceful and united nation.
In a message marking the occasion, Governor Mutfwang congratulated the Muslim Ummah and encouraged them to reflect on the values of love, peace, charity, tolerance, and commitment to peaceful co-existence.
The Governor's message was signed by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State.
The Governor highlighted the significance of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, noting that it provides an opportunity for the Muslim community to invoke God's blessings on Nigerian leaders as they strive to provide qualitative leadership.
He reiterated his administration's commitment to the welfare and security of all citizens, and urged beneficiaries of the 2024 Hajj to pray for the peace and unity of Plateau State and Nigeria.
Governor Mutfwang also reassured citizens of his administration's dedication to addressing current hardships and securing lives and property.
The celebration of Eid-el-Kabir marks the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, one of the five pillars of Islam. It is a significant milestone in the Islamic calendar, symbolizing sacrifice, submission, and devotion to God Almighty.
