The presiding Pastor of Assembly of God Church (one) Sabon Tasha, Reverend Yohanna Makama has felicitated with Christians worldwide, and youths in particular for marking this year's Christmas celebration.
Reverend Yohanna in his Christmas message, urged Christians to continue to show love and understanding in the face of adversity and challenges saying that victory is assured as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
"Today, is a special day, a day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and my message today is a message we all know, is a message of love, love for humanity".
"Is a celebration of love, God through his mercy gave to the whole world and Jesus been the product of God's love highlights the need for love always".
"It is a time for us to reflect on the love we talk teach and preach about, are we really living by it and where there is a deficiency, then a period like this Christmas supposed to bring us back on track."
Reverend Yohanna Makama said, “The season is here to celebrate persecution, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of the saviour of the world, our Lord Jesus Christ."
“The celebration is different because it is the hallmark of Christianity as our faith would have been in vain if Jesus had not been resurrected.
“I urge all Christians across the globe and youths in particular to celebrate modestly and use the period to seek God’s face.”
Reverend Makama who lauded the genuine effort of the present government to reach out to different people with due diligence and respect, called on the youth to celebrate Christmas with respect and love.
